The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, and the Port Arthur Independent School District partner annually to host Career Fairs for area students. Students are exposed to the various career options available in the area and the education and experience background needed to continue a certain career pathway.

Students visit with representatives from various businesses and industries in a classroom setting, but also allows for hands-on activities and question and answer sessions. Various industries are represented to allow a range of industries that may spark interests in students at pivotal moments in their educational transition.

Career clusters represented include Biology/Medical/Health Science; Banking/Finances; Civil Service/LawEnforcement; Warehousing & Logistics; Construction, Building Trades, Marine; Information Technology; Engineering; Music; Entrepreneurial; and Teaching/Education.
