KEEPING THE MOMENTUM GOING…Contractor’s Business Development Group
The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce had their monthly Contractor’s Business Development Group meeting at Lamar State College Port Arthur. First, we would like to thank Hayes Real Estate and Gerald Codon Properties for sponsoring the meeting and Soutex Surveyors & Engineers for sponsoring the breakfast. Anthony Leger, Vice President of Soutex Surveyors, started off with an overview of the business and services they provide. Some of the services they offer are land surveying, engineering, and construction management from the conceptual planning stage through the completion of the project. They are a full-service firm that have qualified personnel and resources to handle jobs large and small.
In the meeting, the chairperson of the committee, Travis Woods, discussed many incoming projects in Texas and Louisiana. Hotard Coaches, Inc. have buses ready for transporting workers from Texas to Louisiana for the Cheniere Energy, Inc. project. Westlake, Louisiana is going to have three new polymer units and Martin Resources Management Corporation are expanding by building more tanks. Finally, Port Arthur LNG will begin building pipelines to Louisiana.
In conclusion, this meeting is for contractors, suppliers, and vendors to hear about new and ongoing projects, so that they can reach out on these opportunities and try to be a part of it. To be a part of the group, contact Paige Snyder, Membership Director, Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce.
