Monica Paige Snyder
April 22, 1964 - September 6, 2021
Sometimes you meet a person and just know that they are in the right job - that was Paige Snyder. As the Membership Director of the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce, Paige loved her job, and she was very good at it.
On August 4, 2021, she spearheaded the 3rd Annual Industry, and it was, by far, the biggest one undertaken by the chamber. She did all the planning, filled all the booths and it was a smashing success with 107 companies participating and over 800 people in attendance.
Her favorite events were her monthly Contractor Business Development Committee meetings, which she worked closely on with Travis Woods to keep out local contractors up to date on all the projects planned from Houston to Baton Rouge.
Two days before her death, Paige was at the Chamber's Hispanic Business Golden Pass LNG golf tournament. She was doing what she does best, interacting with all the companies plating golf at Babe Zaharias Golf Course. She visited every hole, cutting up with our chamber member companies, and had a blast.
Paige's easy way about her and welcoming spirit attracted people to her, her gift of gab endeared her to everyone that she met, bit when she flashed her beautiful smile at you, no one could resist it, and they would have to smile back at her. That smile opened many doors for this talented woman.
For me personally, coming to a nonprofit form big industry, she was warm, receptive and a great teacher. She has left a tremendous hole in our chamber, the community, and her shoes will not be easily filled. Paige will be deeply missed.
