Conrad Cooper, Paige Snyder and Bill McCoy met with Air Products Site Manager, Tom Heller this morning. Tom was the first to participate in our Business Retention and Expansion program. BRE is a joint project between Team Cities, Port Arthur EDC and the Chamber. The goal of the BRE is to interview as many local businesses as possible in a effort to determine the potential for business retention and expansion. The interview with Mr. Heller allowed us to learn of some planned expansions and possible new jobs.
The chamber also made use of the refrigerator donated by Bechtel Jacobs. It replaces the old one that froze everything today and would not work tomorrow. Now we can have cold refreshments for our volunteers.
